Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, has undertaken to raise awareness of family violence. Denise's life takes a dramatic turn on 12 June 1994, was killed when her sister. Now she has made her life to raising awareness about a crime that kills three women every day in the United States.
When she recently came to Amelia Island, she was the keynote speaker at a gathering for Micah's Place, Inc., Nassau County, Florida only certified Violence Center. I had the opportunity to discuss with Brown for a very open conversation and a video interview on the rising rates of domestic violence, they want a message to the youth of our country, told rarely spoken about her relationship with her sister, Denise Brown has planned for its future .
One of the biggest concerns about Brown is a misconception that domestic violence is a serious problem. She said that the number of calls that led to crisis centers. The additional financial burden families face because of poor economic health of our nation seems to be to add the cases of domestic violence.
Anger management is not the answer to violence and abuse. More shelters are needed Batter's Treatment programs must be expanded and training must begin at an earlier time. Violence against women has contributed to the protection and additional funding for programs, but awareness and public service announcements are not in finance. Domestic violence is a cycle that can be broken. This is no longer a taboo subject and there is no acceptable excuse. No one should consist of physical, mental and emotional terrorism in his own home.
After traveling the country speaking at jails, treatment centers and shelters, there are a few words about this violent crime, the youth of our nation to hear. "You do not have the captain of the football team today, if he is not a nice person. "Domestic violence is a choice one makes, and our children must be taught this at an early age. The book, does not happen to me, is a great resource to teach children that physical violence is acceptable. The colorful, bright and inviting book will contribute to this important message, although the latest spread of children, is not quite in order.
Although Brown has not spoken publicly about Nicole Brown Simpson, much earlier, she has come to realize that too many, and her sister is not presented as "a real person" in the media. When we sat down with Denise, she opened up at his sister and what she knew about the abusive relationship with Nicole was involved in the assassination. In this interview can touch, is the link below, use Denise talks about her sister as a hopeless romantic, and in this moment of unconscious memories of the present tense.
Domestic violence is a learned behavior that real people are affected. Not just poor people, not just celebrities and not just women! Brown is determined to dispel the darkness, end of silence, the attention and stop the cycle of violence. She founded the Nicole Brown Foundation (NicoleBrown.org), a nonprofit national advocacy organization against violence focused on raising awareness, education and inspiration for others. Denise learned journals and finds that her sister had had over 17 years of verbal, mental, physical and emotional abuse.
Because of the Nicole Brown Foundation, public service announcements shown at the Los Angeles city bus, to generate calls from men. Men who abused their hot-line calls and then the men who want to know how to help someone, against this dangerous and life threatening situations are alike.
This vicious circle of violence is not easy, nor the decision taken by a violent relationship. Statistics show that they return to their abusive criminals times before they are finally out and get the support they need to get over their lives.
So, what of Denise Brown's next? It is the foundation of the elite of the Speaker's Bureau to discuss, not only violence but also other problematic issues of social responsibility, with real people, not just celebrities who are experts in their field.
